I've only seen Peter Capaldi in a few things. He was a favorite in Local Hero and good in that Pompeii Doctor Who ep a few years back. As he won't make his first full appearance until next spring (at the earliest) I have plenty of time to catch up on his work, like The Thick of It.
Meanwhile, I'm up to my eyeballs in Minnesota Fringe Festival coverage. I've been to 14 shows over the last five days and probably have half a dozen more to take in before it ends Sunday. I've altered my schedule for the festival as I'm working most nights, and am doing hobby and other geek stuff during the day (I usually like to keep some kind of business hours when I'm just writing). Yesterday, I watched the pilots of several of the Star Trek series. I still have Voyager and Enterprise to go. I'm finally going to give Enterprise a real go, terrible theme song or not.
I also have the evening off from the Festival, as it's the last night of a Warhammer campaign I've sort of participated in over the summer. I'm 2-2 so far and have learned plenty about the game. As far as the hobby goes, I've finished my Warriors of Chaos Warhammer army (the guys who are 2-2) and have moved on to the 40K Dark Eldar. It's a nice break to deal with skintight body suits after months of spikes, blood and open sores.
I'm also experimenting with another business idea. I'm selling a few things on ebay (I'm edhuyck01) right now to start building seed money. More thoughts on that as it develops.
